My name is Jill Taft and I founded Logic Product Group for two reasons: to create non-toxic, eco-friendly, effective products to help prevent and treat head lice, bed bugs, ticks, and fleas, and to help erase the stigma associated with infestations that affect millions of people each year.
Bed bugs and head lice are two increasingly prevalent problems throughout the United States and around the world. Lately there has been much media coverage about bed bugs in homes, apartments, stores, movie theatres, offices, and even hotels it can make one concerned to travel and venture out. Many people are afraid of bringing bed bugs, which are known to be notorious hitchhikers, into their homes.
If you are a parent of an elementary school-aged child you probably already know someone who has battled head lice and what a traumatic and time-consuming process it can be to rid a child of head lice. I certainly do, and have had first-hand experience dealing with both head lice and bed bugs. (Read here for my ordeal with bedbugs).
I am a working mother of two in New York City. Two years ago, my daughter had head lice four times in six months. As the lice went around her classroom for most of the year, parents blamed each other, friendships frayed, but nobody talked openly due to the embarrassment of being seen as infested and contagious. At my wits end, I decided to research the best treatments for lice and found most contained ineffective and potentially harmful pesticides not only for people but also for the planet.
I discovered and helped create a very effective, non-toxic and planet-friendly way to help prevent and treat head lice—by harnessing the power of enzymes from nature. Using these plant-based enzymes, I created a lush, clean, fragrant line of products that treat and prevent lice and bed bugs. I have used my products for both treatment and prevention on my own children, myself, and in my home and they are very effective.
